Whether it\u2019s about protecting the environment, improving health, starting a social business, or raising awareness on important issues\u2014young people are in charge, from identifying the challenge to developing and testing the solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These innovations are not just about starting businesses. You will learn about business and leadership skills. Not everyone has to launch a business, but everyone should learn to lead and create change. That\u2019s why Save the Children created <strong>Youth Innovation Labs<\/strong> \u2014 to give young people, especially those from marginalised communities, a safe and creative space to explore, experiment, and grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>In short, <strong>Youth-led Innovation<\/strong> is: Created <em>by youth, for their communities<\/em> Focused on real challenges\u2014social, economic, political, or environmental A powerful way to <em>learn skills<\/em> like leadership, collaboration, and creative thinking<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>Youth Innovation Lab <\/strong>is not your usual training or workshop. It\u2019s a creative space where young people come together to solve real problems in their communities. Whether it\u2019s about climate change, health, education, or social inclusion\u2014youth take the lead, working in teams and using a fun and practical method called <strong><em>Design Thinking<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><em>&nbsp;<\/em> <em>\u201cDesign thinking is the cornerstone of any youth innovation lab\u2026 It\u2019s a human-centred approach to solving problems that supports young people in designing practical solutions for their communities.\u201d<\/em> &nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Design Thinking<\/strong> is the method young people use in youth innovation labs to solve problems creatively. It\u2019s a step-by-step process that helps teams come up with ideas that actually work for people in real life. It\u2019s not about guessing solutions\u2014it\u2019s about <em>listening<\/em>, <em>learning<\/em>, and <em>trying things out<\/em>. The design thinking process helps young innovators stay focused on people\u2019s needs and find practical, sustainable solutions.
